Job Information Date Opened 09/30/2026 Job Type Full time Industry Health Care Work Experience 1-2 years preferred City Breckenridge State/Province Texas Country United States Zip/Postal Code 76424 Job Description The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization in Breckenridge, TX and we are looking to hire experienced and qualified Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide high-quality nursing care to ill, injured convalescent or disabled patients in the Emergency, Medical-Surgical and Ambulatory Care Services Departments Reporting to the Primary Unit Nursing Director and Chief Nursing Officer, the LVN assesses patient needs, plans and modifies care, and implements appropriate interventions as part of the healthcare team. The LVN may need to work across nursing units based on department and patient needs and must practice within the LVN scope of practice for each department.
Schedule:
Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts | Multiple Shifts available Key Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies; document times and amounts Monitor, document, and report changes in patient conditions and take appropriate action Provide basic patient care, treatments and nursing procedures per physician orders and care plans and respond to patient calls and determine appropriate assistance Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes and collaborate with the healthcare team as needed Set up, operate, and maintain patient care equipment Prepare rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies; maintain inventory Record patient food and fluid intake and output Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments; explain procedures Assist patients with moving, standing, and walking as needed Direct or supervise nursing and ancillary staff as assigned Provide patient care according to unit guidelines and demonstrate required competencies Other Responsibilities Follow all hospital policies, procedures, Code of Ethics, and standards Maintain patient and hospital confidentiality Promote the mission, vision, and values of the hospital Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Promote a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment Perform other duties as assigned by the RN, Director, CNO, or CEO What We Are Looking For Education, Experience, Licensure and Certifications Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program Current Texas Board of Nursing LVN license or a Multi-state compact license 1-2 years of hospital nursing experience preferred Relevant experience preferred; candidates with varying experience levels are welcome BLS certification required within 30 days of hire ACLS and PALS certifications required within 90 days of hire Additional Skills and Attributes Ability to calculate medication dosages, IV rates, titration, and metric/standard conversions Strong English verbal and written communication skills; Spanish preferred Ability to follow instructions, exercise judgment, and solve problems Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, internet, and EMR systems Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and 150 lbs occasionally Ability to manage stressful patient situations and respond effectively to patient and team needs Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Adaptability and ability to embrace and implement change Strong critical thinking and analytical skills Ability to teach, coach, and share knowledge effectively Strong service-oriented approach and commitment to patient needs Candidates must successfully pass a standard background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
