Tuesday Evening Physical Therapy Care & Transportation Pay:
$55.00 per hour

Consistent Weekly Assignment Position Type:
Part-Time Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care for a pediatric client with a physical disability. This is a consistent Tuesday evening assignment from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM. The LPN will be responsible for safely transporting and accompanying the client to her scheduled physical therapy appointment, remaining with her throughout the appointment, monitoring her overall condition, obtaining and documenting vital signs, and safely returning her home. This is an excellent supplemental position for an LPN who enjoys pediatric or private-duty nursing and is looking for a consistent, well-compensated weekly assignment. Responsibilities Provide attentive, one-on-one nursing care for a pediatric client with a physical disability Safely transport the client to and from her weekly physical therapy appointment Accompany and remain with the client throughout the PT appointment Assist with mobility, positioning, transfers, and wheelchair-related needs as appropriate Obtain and accurately document vital signs Monitor the client's condition and identify any changes or concerns Communicate changes in condition or other concerns to the supervising RN Follow the client's established plan of care and safety precautions Communicate professionally with the client, family, physical therapy staff, and supervising RN Complete required documentation following each visit Maintain the client's safety, comfort, privacy, and dignity at all times Required Qualifications Current and unrestricted LPN license Current BLS/CPR certification Valid driver's license Clean driving record Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check Reliable, safe personal vehicle Current automobile insurance Consistent Tuesday evening availability Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers Strong communication and documentation skills Dependable, punctual, and professional Preferred Qualifications Strong preference will be given to applicants with experience in: Pediatric nursing Private-duty nursing or pediatric home health Caring for children or adolescents with physical or developmental disabilities Wheelchair and mobility assistance Safe transfers and fall prevention Rehabilitation or physical therapy settings One-on-one care in the home or community setting Compensation $55.00 per hour This is a guaranteed 2-hour weekly assignment, providing $110 per Tuesday shift. Additional opportunities or hours may become available based on client needs and nurse availability. Ideal Candidate We are looking for an LPN who is patient, trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely comfortable working with children with disabilities. The ideal candidate understands that providing excellent pediatric care involves more than completing clinical tasks. We are looking for someone who will build a positive relationship with the client, promote independence when appropriate, maintain safety, and provide compassionate and respectful care. Because transportation is an essential responsibility of this position, applicants must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and active automobile insurance. Pediatric, special-needs, home-health, or private-duty nursing experience is strongly preferred.
