Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working the 3rd shift on weekends! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to our residents and patients during evening hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following established protocols and safety standards Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to inform care plans Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, wound care, and sterile techniques Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans for residents with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities Provide triage assessments for urgent needs and coordinate appropriate responses or referrals Support long-term care and memory care residents by delivering specialized services aligned with regulations and best practices Requirements Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Proven experience in long-term care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living environments Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for precise medical records management Experience working with geriatric patients and individuals with chronic conditions like dementia or Alzheimer's disease Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support (BLS) certification Strong communication skills for caregiver interaction and client communication in a compassionate manner Critical care experience or hospital/ER background is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued Join us in delivering exceptional patient care during your weekend night shifts!
