Job Summary Idaho Arthritis Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Caldwell infusion team. The Infusion LPN works closely with our Registered Nurses and providers to deliver safe, efficient, high-quality care to patients receiving biologic infusions, injections, and other specialty therapies. This position combines direct patient care, clinical monitoring, medication preparation, documentation, and infusion-center operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN who enjoys hands-on patient care, building relationships with patients with chronic conditions, and working as part of a specialized clinical team. Duties and Responsibilities Provide nursing care to infusion patients within LPN scope of practice and Idaho Arthritis Center policies and protocols. Obtain and document vital signs, weights, medication histories, allergies, and other relevant clinical information. Assist with preparation and administration of infusion and injectable therapies under appropriate supervision and in accordance with applicable laws, provider orders, and clinic protocols. Monitor patients before, during, and after therapy and promptly report changes in condition or suspected adverse reactions to the supervising RN or provider. Perform medication and treatment safety checks, including verification of provider orders, patient weight, dosing, laboratory requirements, and other treatment parameters. Start and maintain peripheral IV access when appropriately trained and permitted. Perform injections and other nursing procedures within scope of practice. Educate patients and families regarding treatment procedures, medications, potential adverse effects, and follow-up care. Accurately and timely document patient assessments, treatments, medications, vital signs, and other clinical information. Maintain infusion equipment, medications, and supplies and assist with inventory management. Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and emergency-response protocols. Collaborate closely with RNs, providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to maintain efficient patient flow. Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-centered infusion environment. Perform other clinical duties within LPN scope of practice as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication and patient safety. Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and appropriately escalate concerns. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with RNs, providers, and other members of the healthcare team. Education and Experience Current Idaho LPN license in good standing. Current BLS certification . IV therapy experience preferred. Previous infusion, rheumatology, specialty pharmacy, or ambulatory-care experience preferred but not required. Experience with phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement preferred.
