Hiring Agency General Government Cabinet | Department of Veterans Affairs Location 926 Veterans Center Hanson, KY 42413 USA Description The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking self- motivated, energetic Licensed Practical Nurses who possess the skills, knowledge, and desire to care for Kentucky Veterans. Here you will be able to provide direct care for our residents by: Prepare, administer and document medications. Perform medical treatments. Check vital signs. Follow policies to ensure our residents are cared for. Document all required information. Assist each resident with their needs. We offer flexible scheduling, holiday, weekend and shift premiums, and the Veterans Affairs Nurse Loan Repayment Program. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serve Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing Compassionate Care. (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed in Kentucky as a practical nurse or must have a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
