Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a compassionate and skilled LPN to make a significant impact in an educational setting near Rochester, MI! This contract position allows you to use your expertise to support students, faculty, and staff in a dynamic school environment, providing essential health services and promoting wellness throughout the school community.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license in the state of Michigan Previous experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills Ability to handle emergencies and manage confidential student health information Current CPR/BLS certification Adaptability and a positive attitude when working with children and school staff Capacity to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy setting
Key Responsibilities:
Administer daily and emergency medication and treatments, as ordered by healthcare providers Provide basic care for illness and injuries while maintaining accurate documentation Support and implement individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions Monitor and report changes in student health status to appropriate school officials and guardians Serve as a health resource, offering education to students and staff on wellness and hygiene Promote a safe, inclusive, and caring environment for all students Collaborate with school teams and parents to address the physical and emotional health needs of the student body This contract position offers the chance to grow your nursing skills, create meaningful connections within the school, and make a direct difference in young lives.
