Job Description

Join Mercy as an LPN in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you'll provide direct patient care, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and support physicians and RNs in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. You'll collaborate within multidisciplinary teams across our Midwest facilities, contributing to personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care within LPN scope of practice, including vital signs, medication administration, and basic treatments. Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition to the RN and/or provider in a timely manner. Assist with wound care, specimen collection, diagnostic procedures, and activities of daily living. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record. Implement components of individualized care plans under the direction of an RN or provider. Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and discharge or home-care instructions, reinforcing RN and provider teaching. Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards in all patient care activities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives. Float or rotate to various units or clinics as needed to support staffing and patient care demands.
