Job Description

Wound Care Nurse RN/ LPN Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Wound Care Nurse RN/ LPN to join our team at Windsor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Windsor, North Carolina. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing excellent patient care and wound management to our residents. Responsibilities:
Perform skin treatments for all residents under your care, obtaining treatment orders from attending physicians and assisting with modifying treatment regimens as needed Complete head-to-toe body audits on new admissions and re-admissions to identify open areas and ensure implementation of skin sheets, treatment orders, and preventative measures Update skin sheets every 7 days and review residents with new skin alterations to ensure implementation of skin care treatment and care plans Provide wound care when needed and delegate prn Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound care treatments and resident progress Collaborate with the wound physician to develop and implement individualized wound care plans Educate and supervise certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and other staff members on wound care principles and procedures Participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed
Essential Functions:
Complete daily, weekly, and ongoing responsibilities as outlined in the job description Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and progress Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans Provide wound care and education to residents, families, and staff members Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program Current State License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse C.P.R. Certified 0 years of experience in wound care or related field
