The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients within the care center. Working under the supervision of physicians and the clinical services team, the LPN supports patient care by assisting with examinations, administering medications, and documenting patient information accurately and timely. Advocare, LLC is a physician-owned partnership of leading pediatricians, family practitioners, and specialists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Licensed Practical Nurse Essential Functions:
Coordinating and running a flu and COVID clinic Provides general nursing care to patients. Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Prepares list of medical supplies needed. Ensures cleanliness. Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Educates patient & family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness. Maintains/reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results. Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies. Perform other duties/tasks as requested by providers, coordinators, and management in accordance with office procedures/policies. Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling patient's medical records and information.
Licensed Practical Nurse Required Skills/Abilities:
Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficient in administrative tasks Must be highly organized and detail-oriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility Familiarity with medical terminology and digital record systems Ability to communicate effectively and verbalize ideas Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrates the highest level of customer/client service and response Demonstrates ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Must have an active LPN license Completion of an approved LPN program required Minimum of one-year professional nursing experience, clinic experience preferred Must maintain CPR certification Must have a strong background in vaccine administration.
