Family Practice Position Summary Family Practice of Elk City is seeking a dependable, patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse to join our family practice serving Elk City and the surrounding western Oklahoma communities. As a Family Practice, we provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. The LPN works closely with our providers and a small, collaborative team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where flexibility and versatility are essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, chief complaints, medication reconciliation, and relevant health history. Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as ordered by the provider, within LPN scope of practice. Perform venipuncture, point-of-care testing, EKGs, wound care, and specimen collection. Cover laboratory for patient lab draws, as needed. Assist providers with examinations and minor in-office procedures. Provide patient education on care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions under provider direction. Triage patient phone calls, relay messages to providers, and communicate results to patients as directed. Process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations. Accurately document care in the electronic health record (EHR). Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure equipment is clean and functioning. Adhere to infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic safety protocols. Support quality measures, screenings, and care-gap closure consistent with rural health care requirements. Perform other clinical and clerical duties as assigned to support smooth clinic operations. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Oklahoma LPN license in good standing. Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire). Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program. Prior experience in family practice, primary care, or an outpatient setting preferred; new graduates considered. Familiarity with electronic health records; EHR experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a rural setting. Commitment to serving a diverse, multi-generational patient population. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods. Ability to lift and/or assist patients and lift up to 25-50 lbs. Manual dexterity for clinical procedures and equipment use. Benefits 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
