$100 per session, paid to you as an independent contractor

Start:

One-month trial engagement, then ongoing if it works for both sides The opportunity SmartFit Method is a members-only strength studio with a built-in client base of adults in their 40s through 70s who train with us every week. They already trust the studio, they are already here on a schedule, and many of them have asked for bodywork. We want one massage therapist to own that. You bring your certification and your hands. We bring a private room in the studio, a table if you want it, a warm client list, and the booking flow. No marketing spend, no lease, no chasing new clients. How it works

Booking:

Members book set time slots through the studio. Each slot is a 50-minute session with 10 minutes to reset.

Slots:

Saturday afternoons at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30, and weekday evenings at 6:30. That is up to 9 sessions per week to start. We will add slots as your book fills.

Your rate:

$100 per session. Members pay the studio $125, you invoice us $100, and the studio keeps $25 for the room, the client base, and the booking system.

Earnings:

A full Saturday is four sessions and $400. Volume builds as members hear about it, so expect the first couple of weeks to be lighter than the fourth.

Payment:

You invoice us every two weeks and we pay within five business days. No waiting on members, no chasing anyone for money, no card processing on your end.

Clients:

SmartFit members only at launch. Repeat clients are the norm here, not walk-ins. The first month We are starting this as a one-month trial engagement, and we are upfront about why. Neither of us knows yet how many members will book, and we would rather find out together than lock either side into something that does not fit. Weeks 1 through 4: You work the full slot schedule at the full $100 per session. Nothing about the rate changes during the trial.

What we are watching:

How many slots fill, whether members rebook, and whether the fit feels right on both sides.

End of month:

We sit down for 20 minutes and decide. If it is working, we continue on an ongoing basis and start adding slots. If the volume is not there, we part ways cleanly with no hard feelings, and you keep every dollar you earned. Either side can end it earlier with two weeks notice, so nobody is stuck. Be honest with yourself about the first two weeks. Bookings ramp as members hear about it, so week one will be lighter than week four. Who we are looking for Active state certification (in California, CAMTC certified) and current professional liability insurance 2+ years hands-on experience, ideally in sports, deep tissue, or therapeutic work with active adults over 40 Comfortable working with clients who have joint replacements, osteoporosis, or are coming back from injury, and who know when to refer out Reliable. If a member books, you are there. Our members plan their week around the studio. Warm and low-pressure. Our members are here to feel better, not to be upsold. Bring your own linens, oils, and supplies. We provide the room and a table, though you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer it. We talk through your experience with older and post-injury clients, and you ask us anything. Paid working session. You give a full 50-minute massage at the studio to one of our team. We pay you the full $100 for it whether or not we move forward. Two client references. Regular clients who have seen you more than once, not colleagues. One-month trial. If the working session and references check out, you start.
