Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology, anatomy knowledge, and pain management history. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment procedures, and provide guidance on post-massage care. Maintain detailed records of client sessions, including treatment notes and progress updates, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend suitable therapies to support ongoing wellness goals. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations, including CPR certification requirements. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the overall client experience. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification in CPR. Proven experience in massage therapy with expertise in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pain management techniques. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and tailor treatments accordingly. Prior experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is preferred. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
