In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse automotive systems, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics skills to execute repairs efficiently. Diagnose and repair advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), air brake systems, and auto body components as needed. Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to complete repairs on GM vehicles or other makes with precision. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate clearly with customers about repair needs and timelines. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background working in the automotive repair industry. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive suspension systems, electrical systems, powertrain components, and diesel engine repair. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Experience working with transmissions—automatic or manual—and performing alignment services. Knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics and auto body repair is a plus.
