Your expertise in various massage techniques, combined with your ability to assess patient needs and communicate effectively, will help create a calming environment that supports dignity and quality of life during challenging times. Responsibilities Perform customized massage therapy sessions tailored to each patient's condition, including Swedish,and other modalities as appropriate. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine suitable treatment plans based on medical history, physiology knowledge, and current health status. Collaborate with the healthcare team to understand patient needs and ensure safe, effective therapy aligned with hospice care goals. Maintain detailed documentation of treatments provided, patient responses, and any changes in condition in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques and pain management strategies to support ongoing comfort outside of sessions. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, CPR requirements, and professional licensing standards to ensure patient safety at all times. Foster a compassionate environment by communicating clearly with clients about their treatment options and addressing any concerns or questions. Skills Extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to massage therapy and pain management. Proven experience with various massage techniques including Swedish, occupational health treatments. Strong patient service skills with the ability to assess individual needs accurately and adapt treatments accordingly. Excellent client communication skills to build trust and ensure a positive therapeutic experience. Familiarity with medical terminology related to hospice care and pain management practices. CPR certification and adherence to all safety protocols required for healthcare professionals. Prior experience working in med spa environments or within occupational health settings is preferred.
