Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide professional, therapeutic massages to clients, helping them relax and alleviate muscle tension and pain. You will utilize your knowledge of muscle anatomy and physiology, pain management, deep tissue massage, any specialties you are certified in and more to deliver effective treatments. As an Independent Contractor, you will have the opportunity to make your own schedule and income with the flexibility of a balanced lifestyle. If you are passionate about helping others improve their well-being through massage therapy, we would love to hear from you!Duties:
- Perform various types of massages including Swedish, Deep Tissue, and specialty massages acquired through continued education
- Assess clients' needs and create personalized treatment plans and care
- Utilize your knowledge of muscle anatomy and physiology as well as in pain management techniques to address specific areas of concern
- Provide recommendations for at-home care and exercises to help clients maintain their well-being between sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Stay informed about current trends and developments in the field of massage therapy
- Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment
Requirements:
- Valid Massage Therapist license/certification in the state
- Proficiency in various massage techniques including Swedish and Deep Tissue massages
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and some medical terminology
- Ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Some Customer Service experience
- Ability to adapt treatments based on individual client needs
