Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapists to join our team at MassageLuXe Birmingham. As a Massage Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, customized massage therapy services to our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their individual needs and preferences, ensuring a therapeutic and relaxing experience that promotes their well-being.

Responsibilities:

Perform various massage techniques, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, prenatal massage, hot stone therapy, and reflexology, based on client needs and preferences. Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their medical history, current conditions, and desired outcomes. Develop and propose individualized treatment plans based on client assessments. Provide professional and ethical massage therapy services in accordance with MassageLuXe standards and all applicable licensing regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment notes and any relevant observations. Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable treatment environment for clients. Properly set up and clean the massage room before and after each session, including sanitizing equipment and ensuring necessary supplies are stocked. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for self-care and follow-up treatments. Communicate effectively with clients regarding the techniques used, expected outcomes, and any adjustments needed during the session. Collaborate with other team members, including estheticians and front desk staff, to ensure a seamless and positive client experience. Adhere to all MassageLuXe policies and procedures. Stay updated on current massage therapy techniques and best practices through ongoing education and training. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Be punctual and prepared for all scheduled appointments. Assist with light spa duties as needed, such as folding towels or restocking supplies. Actively promote MassageLuXe memberships and services to clients.

Qualifications:

Must possess a current and valid Massage Therapist license in the state of Michigan. Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage modalities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to assess client needs and customize massage treatments accordingly. Proficiency in performing a variety of massage techniques. Demonstrated ability to maintain client confidentiality and act with professionalism and integrity. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions. Must carry professional liability insurance.
