Job DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team in Grosse Pointe Woods. In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services to cancer patients and members of the community, helping them achieve relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness. This Monday through Friday position offers consistent daytime hours from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no weekends required. GENERAL SUMMARY

Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic massage based on client needs and preferencesConduct thorough client consultations to understand health history, current conditions, and wellness goalsMaintain detailed and accurate client records, including treatment notes and progress trackingCreate a welcoming and relaxing environment that promotes client comfort and trustEnsure all equipment, linens, and treatment areas are clean, sanitized, and properly maintained according to health and safety standardsCommunicate effectively with clients about treatment options, expected outcomes, and any contraindicationsAdapt massage techniques based on client feedback and individual health considerationsManage appointment scheduling and maintain punctuality to ensure smooth client flowStay current with industry best practices and continue professional development in massage therapyUphold professional boundaries and maintain client confidentiality at all timesQualifications

EXPERIANCE REQUIRED

Minimum 1-2 years of professional massage therapy experience

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Completion of an accredited massage therapy programLicense/Certifications RequiredValid massage therapy license or certification as required by the State of MichiganCPR certification (preferred)

SKILLS REQUIRED

Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic massage techniquesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to listen actively to client needsPhysical stamina and ability to perform massage services for extended periodsMeticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitationProficiency in time management and organizational skillsExperience with massage therapy software or client management systems (preferred)Ability to work independently and as part of a wellness teamProfessional demeanor with a genuine commitment to client well-being and satisfaction
