We are seeking an experienced, professional Licensed Massage Therapist to operate their independent massage therapy practice within our wellness clinic. As an independent contractor, you'll have the opportunity to build your own clientele while practicing alongside providers focused on Nervous System Care, Functional Medicine, Gonstead Chiropractic, and lifestyle wellness in a collaborative, relationship-centered clinic. Responsibilities Provide individualized therapeutic massage services based on each client's goals and preferences. Foster a welcoming, professional environment that promotes trust, comfort, and exceptional client experiences. Educate clients on the benefits of therapeutic massage as part of a healthy lifestyle and overall wellness plan. Maintain accurate treatment documentation consistent with professional standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment space. Collaborate professionally with other providers when appropriate to support continuity of care while remaining responsible for your own independent massage therapy practice. Conduct your practice in accordance with all applicable state licensing requirements and professional standards. Actively market and grow your independent massage therapy practice through networking, community involvement, and client relationship development. Qualifications Current Missouri Massage Therapy License in good standing. Demonstrated commitment to a holistic, wellness-focused philosophy of care. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Professional, dependable, organized, and self-motivated. Ability to establish and grow an independent client base. CPR certification preferred. Preferred Qualifications (where permitted by licensure, certification, and applicable law) The ideal candidate is a holistic-minded Licensed Massage Therapist who views massage therapy as an integral part of supporting overall health, movement, recovery, and well-being. We value practitioners who are passionate about educating clients, building long-term relationships, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to support whole-person wellness. While not required, candidates with experience or additional training in the following modalities are strongly encouraged to apply: Therapeutic Massage Myofascial Release Deep Tissue Massage Trigger Point or Neuromuscular Therapy Prenatal Massage Sports Massage/ Recovery Cupping Therapy Experience integrating these techniques into individualized, client-centered care plans is highly valued. Independent Contractor Opportunity This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity and is intended for professionals operating their own massage therapy business. Independent contractors are responsible for operating and growing their own massage therapy practice, including managing their schedule, maintaining applicable business and tax obligations, and developing their client base. The independent contractor relationship will be governed by a written Independent Contractor Agreement. Independent contractor classification is determined by applicable federal and state law and the actual working relationship, not solely by contract language. While MHC provides marketing support and clinic patients may independently choose massage therapy services, referrals, appointment volume, and income are not guaranteed. Compensation is based on a monthly revenue-sharing arrangement as outlined in the Independent Contractor Agreement including the agreed-upon monthly revenue-sharing requirements.
