Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern Communicate effectively with clients to understand their health history, preferences, and goals, ensuring a personalized experience Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical or physiological information Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend future treatment options for ongoing wellness Stay current with industry best practices and new massage techniques through ongoing professional development Requirements Valid North Carolina State licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in massage therapy. Transportation to and from work. Proven experience in various massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical or med spa settings Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and occupational health is preferred
