So we are looking to add 2 more part time therapists to our team. We are a luxury upscale spa and we are seeking a skilled, thorough, and tentative Massage Therapist to join us. Two day commitment for a 4 hour time block ! One week day and one weekend :) with the ability to pick up more! So no need to give up your primary job. We have an experienced based company & we are popular & most known for our intentional custom private spa days toped with jacuzzi & sauna access. We provide everything you need, all you need to bring is yourself to appointments, UNLESS you have a favorite massage cream/oil you prefer to use that is deemed safe for sensitive skins & all skin types.. we have the beds, hot towel warmer, massage oil, hot stones, & aromatherapy. Looking to offer walk-ins in the near future as well. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various massage techniques this is not a rushed environment.we are creating an unforgettable experience so listen to the client and their body.. As well as someone committed to providing exceptional client care. When they fall in love with your services they come back which in turn creates your growing client base. You must have the ability to work independently while also being thorough & prompt. You will be responsible for assessing client needs and or getting their input on any spot focused treatment (see a knot get it out), and delivering skilled massage services to promote overall relaxation inside an upscale spa. Please feel free to disclose any additional certifications you may have ie: acupuncture, prenatal, lymphatic etc. Duties Perform various massage techniques mostly including deep tissue massage, hot stone, & Swedish (unless otherwise certified). Utilize proficient knowledge of anatomy and where different muscles lie to provide effective treatments tailored to each patient; no two bodies are the same. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for all clients, respect privacy & provide friendly interactions.. Collaborate with other LMT professionals in spa environment as needed; mainly when you are scheduled for a side by side couples massage.. We do not tolerate any forms of degrading or bullying. Stay updated on industry trends and continuously enhance skills through professional development opportunities. If there is a continuing education training nearby the company will sponsor it as long as it is within reason against our budget. Qualifications Valid massage therapy license or certification from an accredited institution in OH/MI. Strong understanding of anatomy; the more proficient you are in the muscle groups the better the experience. Proficiency in deep tissue massage, & relaxation massages with and without hot stones Previous experience in a spa or similar setting is preferred but NOT required. Excellent communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service. Light receptionist duties (nothing more than greeting your client warmly and showing them to their treatment room prior to start of service) Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times, there is NO "I" in team!
