Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals Educate clients on massage benefits, post-treatment care, and self-care strategies to support ongoing wellness Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information using appropriate medical terminology Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols such as CPR certification requirements Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, provide recommendations, and foster a trusting relationship Stay current with industry trends and expand your skill set through continued education in areas like physiology knowledge, pain management experience, and med spa practices Requirements Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state or local regulations Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess client needs and develop effective treatment plans Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients Ability to perform massages safely while maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment start date Prior experience working in a med spa or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for continuous learning is essential Join us in delivering outstanding care that transforms lives!
