This position is ideal for a Licensed Massage Therapist who enjoys helping active adults improve mobility, reduce muscular tension, recover from exercise, and feel their best. The Bodywork Specialist will provide individualized sessions using techniques such as therapeutic massage, trigger-point therapy, cupping, assisted stretching, manual stretching, and kinesiology taping. Our ideal candidate understands that effective bodywork is not one-size-fits-all. You should be able to listen to each client, assess their needs within your professional scope, and create a safe, comfortable, and results-focused experience. You will work with a wide range of clients, from recreational exercisers and strength athletes to older adults and members simply looking to move and feel better. Responsibilities Provide professional, individualized bodywork sessions based on each client's goals, preferences, and needs Perform therapeutic massage and trigger-point techniques within the scope of an Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist Apply cupping techniques when appropriate and with the client's informed consent Provide assisted and manual stretching to support flexibility, mobility, and recovery Apply kinesiology or athletic tape when appropriate and within professional scope Conduct client intake and identify relevant health history, contraindications, precautions, and session goals Clearly explain recommended techniques and obtain consent before treatment Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, draping practices, sanitation, and client confidentiality Document sessions accurately and maintain required client records Educate clients on general recovery, mobility, and self-care strategies without diagnosing medical conditions Recognize when a client should be referred to a physician, physical therapist, chiropractor, or other healthcare provider Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and fully stocked treatment space Clean and disinfect tables, tools, cups, and other equipment according to established standards Manage appointments and remain punctual for scheduled sessions Build positive relationships with members and encourage appropriate follow-up sessions Collaborate professionally with personal trainers, fitness staff, management, and other wellness professionals Represent Snap Fitness with professionalism, warmth, reliability, and excellent customer service Participate in occasional member events, demonstrations, or educational workshops when requested Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist license Professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain it before beginning work Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain it Training and hands-on experience in therapeutic massage and trigger-point techniques Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, contraindications, and safe bodywork practices Strong communication, listening, and customer-service skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect client privacy Dependable, punctual, organized, and comfortable working independently Ability to perform the physical requirements of bodywork sessions and remain on your feet for extended periods Availability during agreed-upon shifts, including some evenings or weekends as needed Preferred Qualifications Formal training or certification in cupping therapy Training in assisted stretching, manual stretching, mobility work, or sports massage Training or certification in kinesiology taping Experience working with athletes, gym members, active adults, or older populations Experience in a fitness, wellness, recovery, chiropractic, physical therapy, or multidisciplinary environment Existing clientele or experience developing and retaining a client base Interest in strength training, mobility, exercise recovery, and long-term wellness What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Creates a welcoming and professional experience for every of an active fitness community Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, reach, and maintain bodywork positions for extended periods Ability to safely perform manual techniques throughout multiple sessions Ability to lift, carry, or reposition supplies and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds Ability to maintain consistent pressure and proper body mechanics during treatments Reasonable
