This is a commission-based W-2 employee position , not an independent-contractor or room-rental arrangement. We are looking for skilled, dependable therapists who enjoy helping clients relax, recover, and feel their best. Therapists will provide customized therapeutic massage—including Swedish massage—and may also perform body wraps or incorporate other modalities and skills they bring to the practice. What We Provide Still Water Floatation provides the setting and support you need to focus on your clients, including: A comfortable, fully equipped treatment room Massage table, linens, and standard treatment supplies On-site laundry facilities Appointment scheduling and payment processing Business marketing and client outreach An established wellness-focused clientele Opportunities to promote the modalities and specialties you bring to the team A peaceful, professional work environment W-2 employee status with applicable payroll tax withholding There is no room rental fee, and therapists are not responsible for independently operating or marketing a separate business from our location. Compensation This is a commission-based W-2 position . Therapists earn an agreed-upon percentage of the services they personally perform. Compensation is processed through regular employee payroll, with applicable taxes withheld. This is not a 1099 independent-contractor position . Therapists will be employees of Still Water Floatation and must follow the company's service, scheduling, sanitation, documentation, and client-care standards. Gratuities received from clients are paid to the therapist in addition to earned commission. Responsibilities Provide professional, client-centered massage therapy services Perform Swedish massage and other modalities within your training and Virginia scope of practice Discuss client preferences, health considerations, pressure, and areas of concern before each service Modify or decline services when contraindications are present Maintain appropriate client boundaries and confidentiality Complete required service notes and company documentation Prepare, clean, sanitize, and reset the treatment room between clients Manage linens and laundry associated with your appointments Arrive on time and remain prepared for scheduled clients Follow all Still Water Floatation policies and safety procedures Maintain a warm, professional, and welcoming environment Assist with body-wrap services if trained or willing to be trained Qualifications Current Virginia massage therapy license in good standing Completion of an accredited massage therapy program Professional liability insurance Knowledge of massage contraindications, sanitation, and client safety Dependable, punctual, and professional Strong communication and customer-service skills Ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative team Willingness to follow established service protocols and workplace procedures Experience with additional modalities is welcome but not required. We would especially like to hear about any specialties, certifications, or unique skills you could bring to our clients. Schedule Part-time and flexible scheduling opportunities are available. Specific shifts and availability will be discussed during the interview process. Some evening or weekend availability may be preferred based on client demand.
