In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support medical providers, and ensure smooth clinical operations across various specialties including primary and urgent care settings. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining the highest standards of medical documentation, safety, and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment where your skills in medical assisting, documentation, and clinical procedures will make a meaningful difference. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) protocols. Support physicians and healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as wound care, medication administration, and specimen collection. Manage medical documentation including ICD coding, medical records management, and detailed charting of patient encounters. Perform rooming duties and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of clinical areas and equipment such as OR tools or trauma center supplies. Support administrative functions by scheduling appointments, managing electronic health records (EMR/EHR), and coordinating patient flow efficiently. Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in diverse healthcare settings such as family practice and urgent care. Hands-on knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical assisting procedures. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and record management. Experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and basic life support certification is required. Strong understanding of patient service principles combined with excellent communication skills to ensure compassionate care delivery.
