We're a fast paced Internal Medicine practice in Los Alamitos looking for a part time Medical Assistant for our Front Office with Back Office float responsibilities. The primary Front Office duties include: Greet and register patients Answer phones Schedule appointments Manage incoming calls Collect co-pay Verify and coordinate insurance authorizations Work closely with doctor to ensure smooth patient flow Secondary (float) responsibilities: Assist doctor Room patients, obtain vitals and patient history Administer injectables Perform EKG, etc. Coordinate patient care We offer competitive compensation and benefits. Qualifications Medical administrative support experience Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly NextGen Basic life support certification Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Experience in patient care, including vital signs monitoring Ability to provide exceptional patient service and support
