Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting clinical operations, ensuring patient comfort, and facilitating effective communication within the practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical environment. Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are essential to effectively serve our diverse patient population. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information accurately. Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare professionals. Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and handling paperwork. Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients to facilitate understanding and comfort during visits. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and confidentiality regulations. Support laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and processing as needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant training program is preferred. Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role is advantageous. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to serve our diverse patient community effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all backgrounds. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and clinical tasks. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a healthcare team. Knowledge of medical terminology, safety procedures, and healthcare regulations.
