Certified Medical Assistant Fantastic Opportunity in a busy and thriving Family Practice Medical office. We're located in Marin County, 30-40-minutes from Petaluma and San Rafael. We're a private sole-owner office and have been providing excellent, concierge-style medicine for over 50 years. We're looking for a forward-thinking MA who wants to be part of our team. 1-3 years min experience in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient services in our outpatient office. This position requires an individual who is committed to delivering high-quality care and support to patients while developing/advancing their clinical skills and professional path. Advancing Healthcare Knowledge and Skills Clinical Duties:
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in outpatient setting
Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within electronic health systems
Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with minor surgical procedures in outpatient setting
Manage patient flow by communicating and coordinating with medical providers and staff
Provide education to patients
Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients
Administrative Duties:
Using EHR
Updating and filing patient medical records
Filing Prior Authorizations/Referrals
Coordinate lab results with Medical Providers and patient f/u and communication
Scheduling f/u appointments Requirements
Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program
Previous experience is a plus, but new graduates are welcome
Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding medical terminology
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous, but training and support will be provided
