Responsibilities / Job

Duties Handle a high patient volume, safely and efficiently rooming an average of 20-25 patients per day. Maintain a high standard of clinical efficiency, aiming to room patients and initiate vitals promptly. Assist patients and providers with clinical inquiries, prescription refills, lab results, and specialist referrals. Perform routine clinical tasks including taking vitals, recording medical histories, administering injections/immunizations, and performing blood draws. Partner with physicians and mid-level providers to assist with minor in-office procedures and patient charting. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for precise documentation and charting. Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements Education High School Diploma/GED Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program (CMA or RMA preferred). Qualifications 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care preferred). Strong proficiency in back-office clinical skills (injections, venipuncture, EKG, vitals). Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software. Experience managing a fast-paced, high-volume patient schedule efficiently. Excellent communication, empathy, active listening, and problem-solving skills.

Schedule / Shift

M-F 8:00am-5:00pm PST (or 7:30am-4:00pm PST depending on clinic hours) Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances). Health Benefits / Dental / Vision (Medix offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan. Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s)). 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
