Where You'll Work Founded in 1951, Dignity Health - Mark Twain Medical Center is a 25-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in San Andreas, California. Serving over 90,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including cancer care, emergency care, and orthopedics. Mark Twain Medical Center also includes four Family Medical Clinics offering exams, immunizations, and care for minor injuries. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Assistant, you will help the physician and patients by preparing patients for examinations and assisting with various medical procedures so they can receive high-quality, efficient, and compassionate healthcare.

Every day you will perform limited diagnostic lab tests, EKGs, and stress tests, administer injections and immunizations, and assist with quality improvement studies. You will be expected to facilitate and document patient/medical records, and perform other essential clinic duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate skills in vital signs and measurements, possess knowledge of sterile technique and infectious waste handling, excel at teamwork and communication, and maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail. Performs limited diagnostic lab tests, EKG's and stress tests Administers injections and immunizations Assist with quality improvement studies Facilitates and documents the flow of patient/medical records Performs other clinic duties as assigned
Job Requirements Required High School Graduate or GED Medical Assistant Certificate Phlebotomist:
CA Basic Life Support -
CPR Medical Assistant Certification:
CA Preferred One-year experience in physician/clinic setting
Emergency Medical Technician:
CA Pediatric Advanced Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support
