Are you comfortable greeting patients, answering phones, confirming appointments, and managing front-desk responsibilities while also assisting providers with clinical and patient-care duties? If so, you may be the person we're looking for! The Cheng Plastic Surgery Team Is Growing! We are looking for a professional, compassionate, and versatile Front & Back Office Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a dual-role position, with responsibilities in both the front office and back office. The ideal candidate is someone who can confidently move between providing excellent customer service at the front desk and supporting our providers and patients in the clinical setting. This position is Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays, from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, approximately 30-40 hours per week. Who is Cheng Plastic Surgery? Cheng Plastic Surgery is a high-end Bay Area clinic established by a team of double board-certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons who have taken facial rejuvenation and enhancement to the next level. Role Overview Front Office Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients in a warm, professional, and personalized manner. Check patients in and out and ensure a smooth patient experience. Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up with patients as needed. Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries. Schedule appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits. Collect patient payments and assist with payment processing. Maintain accurate patient information and assist with paperwork. Communicate with patients regarding appointments, procedures, and general questions. Help coordinate patient flow and maintain an organized and welcoming reception area. Provide an exceptional patient experience from the moment patients arrive until they leave. Back Office / Clinical Responsibilities Assist providers with treating and managing patients. Prepare patients for consultations, treatments, and procedures. Record medications, medical history, and vital signs. Take and maintain patient photographs. Prepare treatment rooms, supplies, and equipment. Assist providers during procedures and treatments. Perform appropriate clinical duties within the scope of training and certification. Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions. Prepare and maintain clinical supplies and equipment. Sterilize instruments and maintain clean and organized treatment rooms. Assist with inventory and ordering of medical supplies. Support providers and the clinical team with day-to-day patient care. Team & Practice Responsibilities Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and professional environment. Protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Provide a raving-fan experience to every patient, every day. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Be flexible and willing to assist wherever needed to support the team. Proactively improve performance through coaching and feedback from management. Bring a positive, can-do attitude and contribute to a strong team environment. Requirements & Qualifications 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or front desk. Medical Assistant certification preferred. Experience working in both front and back office is strongly preferred. Prior experience in Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Medical Spa, or a similar specialty is a plus. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Warm, caring, and empathetic personality. Professional and polished appearance and demeanor. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Meticulous and detail-oriented. Comfortable interacting with patients both in person and over the phone. Flexible, adaptable, dependable, and resourceful. Team-oriented with a positive attitude. Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. Compensation & Benefits $24.00-$30.00 per hour, with incentive pay and benefits as outlined by the practice.
