Job Description
Job Summary Looking for full time medical assistant in a busy, fast pace OBGYN office. monday- friday 08:30 am -5:00 pm. Responsibilities and Duties Medical Assistants collect vital signs and patient history. collect specimens and performs basic laboratory tests. Set up rooms for procedure and any testing needed. MUST know how to Draw blood. administer injections and medications as directed by physician in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals and scheduling appointments. Qualifications and Skills ~Outgoing team member ~Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. ~Have experience with medical insurance and collecting patient's financial responsibilities. ~OB/GYN experience preferred, but not required. ~Knowledge of HIPAA ~A strong communication skills ~A positive professional attitude. ~A willingness to learn new tasks. ~The ability to work well within our practice. ~Bilingual, Spanish speaking is a plus. ~Flexibility, ~Telephone Skills, ~Time Management, ~Organization skill ~Attention to Detail ~knowledge of medical terminology preferred. ~Capacity to function in a sometimes stressful environment . ~Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
