Description:
Park DuValle Community Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant who is passionate about helping others and making a difference in the community. In this role, you'll support patients throughout their healthcare journey, from the moment they arrive through the delivery of care. From welcoming patients and gathering important health information to assisting providers with clinical care, you'll help ensure each patient receives a seamless, positive, and high-quality healthcare experience.
Responsibilities:
Support patient registration, check-in, scheduling, and intake processes to ensure a positive and seamless patient experience Assist healthcare providers with patient care and treatment Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and other required information Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Provide patient education and support as needed Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and clinic operations
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Medical Assistant certification. Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with electronic health records and computer systems. Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
