Job Description

LifeBridge Health, Inc. seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the EMR, assisting with exams and minor procedures, performing phlebotomy and EKGs, preparing and processing specimens, and coordinating referrals and follow-up. The MA promotes safety, infection control, and excellent service for diverse populations while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Opportunities include ongoing training, mentorship, and career growth across our hospitals and practices in central Maryland. Responsibilities Room and triage patients, obtain and document vital signs and medical histories Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor office procedures Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic diagnostic tests as ordered Prepare, label, and process laboratory specimens per protocol Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR system Support medication reconciliation and patient education under provider supervision Schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment readiness Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered, culturally competent care Required Skills Vital signs measurement Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Phlebotomy EKG administration Medication preparation under provider direction Specimen collection and processing Rooming and triaging patients Clinical workflows and infection control Basic medical terminology Scheduling and coordination of patient care
