Job Description

We are a busy, patient-focused podiatry group dedicated to providing high-quality foot and ankle care. Our team values professionalism, efficiency, and compassionate service. We are looking for a Medical Assistant who is motivated to learn podiatry-specific procedures, develop both clinically and administratively, and play a key role in our patient care team at BFF, supporting our Festus and Sunset Hills locations. Responsibilities Patient reigistration Schedule appointments Manage payments (cash, check, credit), log charges, and scan/input paperwork. Handle callbacks, appointment confirmations, and no-shows. Process prior authorizations for DME and procedures via and payer and other portals. Organize, label, and track inventory Patient intake: verify insurance, review PCP visit notes for diabetic patients. Room patients, take and document vitals (ex. BP, temperature, weight, respirations). Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and instrument sterilization. Provide patient instructions and prepare procedure trays.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma • Registered Medical Assistant (preferred) One-year Podiatry experience (preferred) One- year Healthcare experience, Knowledge of electronic medical records, charting, and reporting. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work. Ability to communicate clearly Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to appropriately interact with patients, families, staff, and others. Minimum age requirement of 18 years old and reliable transportation
