Job Description

An opportunity is available for compassionate and detail-oriented individuals with skills as a Medical Assistant or Mental Health Assistant. This contract position provides essential support in a vital behavioral health setting, offering care and advocacy for individuals working toward mental health stabilization.
Available Schedules:
Evenings (3:00 pm 11:00 pm): 2 positions available Nights (11:00 pm 7:00 am): 4 positions available 40-hour work weeks, with 3 out of 4 weekends required per month Must be open to floating between units as needed
Key Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience, ideally in an inpatient or mental health setting Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential No LNA or CNA certification needed Individuals pursuing a degree in psychology or with group home/mental health experience are encouraged to apply Candidates with customer service backgrounds and a commitment to working with mental health populations also considered Compliance with fit-testing requirements for N95 respiratory protection (must be clean shaven as needed) Successful completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) in-class training, including physical intervention components
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct support, observation, and safety monitoring for patients in an acute psychiatric environment Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams to support individualized treatment plans Participate in de-escalation, crisis response, and promote therapeutic milieu within the unit Document observations and participate in shift reports and team meetings Support and assist with daily living activities as required
Comprehensive Orientation:
