The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical and administrative support, with experience across various medical specialties including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while supporting efficient medical office operations. The Certified Medical Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety protocols in a dynamic healthcare environment. Duties Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments across multiple specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort. Collect specimens for laboratory testing and perform basic phlebotomy procedures with precision. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient histories, medical notes, and treatment plans. Support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient intake processes. Assist with medication administration under physician supervision and ensure proper medication documentation. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of clinical areas while adhering to infection control protocols. Support hospital or outpatient clinic workflows by coordinating patient flow and managing medical records efficiently. Demonstrate proficiency in ICD coding, anatomy knowledge, pharmacology basics, and physiology to support accurate diagnosis coding and treatment documentation. Experience Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in diverse clinical settings such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management (EMR/EHR), and medical documentation standards. Hands-on experience with phlebotomy techniques and medication administration in inpatient or outpatient environments. Familiarity with hospital experience or Level II trauma center protocols is advantageous for roles involving emergency medicine or inpatient care. Experience supporting medical office management tasks including scheduling, billing support, and patient service excellence. Knowledge of ICD coding practices for accurate diagnosis documentation across various specialties such as geriatrics, internal medicine, or surgical units. Ability to work efficiently within electronic health record systems (EHR/EMR) platforms while maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality.
