We are a busy dermatology practice with an experienced and supportive team, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care and enjoys working collaboratively. Previous medical assisting or dermatology experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who is motivated to learn and interested in building a long-term career in healthcare. What You'll Do:

Our Medical Assistants work closely with our dermatologist and clinical team to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients and obtaining medical histories Scribing and documenting patient visits Assisting the physician with examinations and procedures Assisting with biopsies, excisions, and other dermatologic procedures Preparing procedure rooms and surgical instruments Providing wound care and post-procedure instructions Collecting and processing pathology specimens Communicating with patients by phone as directed by the physician Assisting with prescription refills and patient questions Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining instruments Keeping exam rooms stocked and organized Maintaining medical and surgical supplies Taking clinical photographs Following HIPAA, infection-control, and safety procedures Working as part of a team to provide a welcoming and professional patient experience

Skills & Clinical Experience You Will Gain:

No previous dermatology experience is required. With training and hands-on experience, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable clinical skills, including: Medical scribing and working directly alongside a dermatologist Surgical assisting Venipuncture and injection techniques Biopsies, excisions, and wound care Pathology specimen collection and processing Clinical photography Instrument cleaning, sterilization, and surgical room preparation Basic knowledge of medications and prescription management Basic understanding of prior authorizations and insurance processes Electronic medical records and medical documentation Patient communication and education Dermatology-specific terminology, conditions, and treatments This position can be an excellent opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in medicine, physician assistant studies, or another healthcare profession and looking to gain meaningful, hands-on clinical experience.

Experience & Qualifications:

Previous medical assisting experience is preferred but not required. Dermatology experience is a plus. Medical Assistant certification is not required. Strong communication and organizational skills.
