As Medical Director, you'll have the opportunity to influence medical standards, support team development, and shape the future of a hospital with a strong reputation, all while maintaining a primarily clinical role (approximately 90% clinical and 10% admin).

Galveston Veterinary Clinic is the largest veterinary hospital on the island, proudly serving the community and their pets for more than 40 years with compassionate, high-quality care. We are a full-service small animal & exotics general practice. Our newly remodeled , stunning standalone facility offers a unique and diverse caseload, including small animals, traditional exotics, and extremely unique species. We've seen some pretty "wild" patients including penguins, kangaroos, otters, and raccoons! We are a community-focused practice with a close-knit "island vibe" culture and a strong commitment to exceptional patient care and team collaboration.

Full service GP offering wellness, sick, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, boarding, and exotics medicine NEWLY renovated, beautiful standalone hospital with 11 exam rooms Dedicated exotics wing Advanced equipment including ultrasound, digital rads, dental rads, laser therapy, and extensive in-house diagnostics Established 4-doctor team supported by experienced technicians Hands-on Hospital Manager with over 15 years of experience Medical independence and the opportunity to help shape the hospital's continued growth
Role Responsibilities:
Help maintain and elevate clinical standards and best practices Collaborate with hospital leadership on team development and operations Mentor and support associate veterinarians, externs, and the broader medical team Foster a positive, collaborative culture centered around patient care and client service Build strong relationships with veterinarians, support staff, and clients Identify opportunities to enhance medical quality, efficiency, and the overall hospital experience Support the continued growth and success of an established, thriving practice Lead by example
