In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate, complete, and confidential medical records related to personal injury claims. You will be responsible for scheduling personal injury appointments, sending out referrals and follow treatment until the case settled. Process new incoming appointments received from law firm or physicians. Send updates to law firm/ physician regarding recommendations. Keep in communication with law firms regarding treatment. Schedule patient follow-ups. Ensure patients do not fall through the cracks. Organize, review, and maintain comprehensive medical records and billing for personal injury cases, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Update and track patient treatment via Google Sheets. Complete DWQ's and affidavits as requested. Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to input, retrieve, and update patient information efficiently. Ensure all medical records adhere to clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare privacy regulations such as HIPAA. Collaborate with healthcare providers and legal teams to facilitate timely access to necessary medical documentation. Maintain strict compliance with health information regulatory standards and document retention policies. Experience Proven experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting specializing in personal injury cases preferred. Previous medical records experience preferred. Strong knowledge of health information management principles, medical terminology, and records management practices Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and proficiency in Google applications for documentation purposes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and legal professionals Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
