$21.00-$30.00 per hour Midwest Medical Records Association is seeking a Health Information Specialist to support the accurate management, organization, and processing of medical records. This role works with electronic health information, medical-record requests, documentation, and confidential patient information while following established privacy and records-management procedures. Key Responsibilities Process and organize medical records and health information. Review records for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation. Respond to authorized requests for patient medical information. Scan, index, retrieve, and maintain electronic health records. Enter and update information accurately in designated systems. Protect confidential patient and health information. Communicate with healthcare providers and administrative teams. Identify and resolve routine documentation or records discrepancies. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in medical records, health information, or healthcare administration preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable working with electronic records and computer systems. Knowledge of patient confidentiality and healthcare information practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
