Job Description

Key Responsibilities Greeting Patients:
One of the first things a Medical Front Office Assistant does is greet patients as they arrive. A warm smile and friendly attitude can make patients feel welcomed and at ease.
Scheduling Appointments:
Responsible for scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments. They coordinate with doctors' schedules and ensure that patients receive timely care.
Answering Phones:
Answer incoming calls, helping patients with questions about appointments or services by listening carefully and responding to inquiries.
Managing Patient Records:
Maintain accurate patient records, including updating personal information, medical histories, and treatment plans, ensuring everything is organized and confidential.
Insurance Verification:
Check patients' insurance coverage to ensure treatments are covered and help patients understand their financial responsibilities.
Processing Payments:
Collect co-pays and payments for services rendered, issue receipts, and ensure all transactions are processed accurately.
Handling Correspondence:
Manage correspondence, including emails and letters from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
Maintaining Office Supplies:
Keep the office stocked with essential supplies, such as ordering paper for printers or stationery for patient documents. Coordinating with
Medical Staff:
Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care, relaying messages or information related to appointments or patient needs.
Ensuring Compliance:
Help maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws (like HIPAA) to ensure the medical office operates within legal guidelines.

Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
