JOB SUMMARY
We are a 30 bed unit serving many medical patient populations. Our focus is oncology (from new diagnosis to end of life), respiratory diseases, congestive heart failure, and end of life/hospice. Our nurses are trained and certified to administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments for inpatients. We have a mix of experienced and new graduate nurses who demonstrate great teamwork to provide those we serve with high quality, compassionate care. This position is responsible for supporting the operations for the patient care unit through clerical duties and communications. This position serves as a central communication person for assistance in coordination of a fast paced hospital unit, supporting patient care operations through effective communication, organization and clerical management. Responsible for answering and directing calls and messages, collaboration with nursing staff, providers, support staff on the day-to-day of patient flow, and additional tasks or projects as needed. Demonstrates strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic healthcare environment while contributing to efficient workflow resulting in positive patient experiences. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED
High School Diploma or Equivalent Excellent written and verbal communication skills
