We provide compassionate, high-quality healthcare to our patients. We are seeking a professional, personable, and organized Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring our patients receive exceptional service at every step of their healthcare journey. You will play a key role in enhancing patient satisfaction, ensuring compliance with procedures, and fostering a collaborative team environment. This position will rotate throughout our locations, as needed.
Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression. Register patients accurately, collect necessary information, and verify insurance details. Address patient inquiries in person, via phone, or email, providing clear and courteous communication.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently, minimizing waiting times. Manage electronic medical records (EHR), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Process payments, co-pays, and billing inquiries with professionalism and precision. Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Collaboration:
Work closely with front desk and clinical staff to coordinate patient care. Communicate effectively with the team to streamline office operations. Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
Other:
Other related duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred. 2 years in a customer service or administrative role required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Must have strong organizational and multitasking skills, with high level attention to detail in all administrative aspects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information necessary. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Can you work a flexible schedule, which includes opening and closing hours with alternating weekends? Office opens as early as 7:30pm and closes at 8pm on most days.
