Years Experience Required Key Responsibilities:
Manage front desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out, scheduling, appointment confirmations, and maintaining an efficient daily schedule. Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility, including Medicaid, PPO, and other dental insurance plans. Communicate professionally with patients regarding appointments, insurance coverage, office policies, treatment plans, and financial responsibilities. Maintain accurate and organized patient records. Coordinate effectively with doctors, dental assistants, billing staff, and other team members to maintain a smooth patient flow. Understand dental terminology, procedures, and treatment plans in order to properly assist patients and coordinate scheduling. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional and welcoming front-office environment. Assist with additional front-office responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of dental front desk/reception experience required. Strong knowledge of all phases of general dentistry and common dental procedures. Experience with dental insurance verification, including Medicaid and PPO plans. Experience with Dentrix preferred. Ability to understand dental terminology and treatment plans. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented. Ability to work effectively in a busy dental office and adapt to changing priorities. Strong patient-service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
