Part-Time Medical Secretary Physical Therapy Associates of NEPA - Archbald, PA Physical Therapy Associates of NEPA is seeking a dependable, friendly, and organized Part-Time Medical Secretary to join our team at our Archbald outpatient physical therapy clinic . The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills and be comfortable working in a busy healthcare office. Previous medical office experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide professional, courteous front-desk service Answer incoming telephone calls and assist with patient questions Schedule and confirm patient appointments Register new patients and maintain accurate demographic and insurance information Verify insurance information and assist with obtaining necessary authorizations Collect patient copays and balances Scan, file, and maintain patient documentation Communicate with physician offices, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers as needed Assist therapists and administrative staff with general office duties Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Comfortable using computers and office software Ability to multitask in a busy outpatient setting Professional telephone and customer service skills Medical office or healthcare experience preferred
