OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced, professional and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our busy family practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the efficient daily operation of the front office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Administrative responsibilities include the following: Greet visitors, and patients as they arrive to the clinic. Determine their needs and direct them accordingly. Answer multi-line phone systems and direct calls appropriately. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Verify insurance eligiblity, benefits, and obtain necessary authorizations. Verify and update patient demographic according to office protocol. Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Accurately register patients and maintain electronic medical records. Scanning documents into ECW electronic medical records. All scanning related to tests i.e., UA, EKG, etc. is required to be scanned first and given immediately to billing department. Process medical records requests, and patient correspondence. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Maintain server for documents that arrive and move those documents accordingly. S Reconcile money drawer and till daily. Opens and closes clinic according to practice policies. Performs other duties as deemed necessary by Administrator or Asst. Office Manager. Knowledge of data entry Knowledge of common safety hazards Ability to use good judgment and critical thinking skills; ability to identify and resolve problems Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and protocols Ability to maintain medical records Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, medical staff, and co-workers Ability to work independently, while collaborating with other team members Ability to self-motivate, prioritize, and be willing to invest in a change process to improve efficiencies Excellent written, verbal and listening communications skills Proficient computer skills Ability to work with a diverse patients/family population
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2 years medical experience in physician's office High School graduate Experience in Primary Care facility with highly diverse patient population Supports practice mission and goals Bilingual Spanish a plusMedical receptionist - reports to the Administrator of the practice.

$10.00 - $18.00 per hour
