$23.86

•$28.48 /Hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule:

6:30am

•3pm Schedule

Part time, working 64 hours per pay period (2 Weeks).

Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday.

Position Summary:

Responsible for accurate and timely administration of medications and treatments on assigned unit. (PRN medications must be approved in advance by Nurse). TMA is responsible for notifying Nurse of all falls, changes in condition, etc. All services are provided in accordance with the mission of Guardian Angels.

Job Duties:

Accurately administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician or designee and under the supervision of a licensed nurse. See details to follow for specific information about what medications/treatments TMA's may and may not administer.

Promptly notify available Nurse of falls, bruises, skin tears, and change in condition.

To monitor assigned nursing assistant to ensure compliance with resident plan of care and facility policy and procedures.

Provide report to nursing assistants.

Accurately documents cares provided, resident observations.

To assist in providing a dignified, respectful, resident-centered environment for residents.

Follows universal precautions, facility infection control guidelines, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.

All duties will be performed in accordance with current standards, guidelines, state and federal regulations.

Uphold confidential information as required by Guardian Angels policy and procedure and as related to HIPPA.

Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Guardian Angels of Elk River.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of Trained Medication Assistant program.

Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred.

Excellent verbal and written (read, write) communication skills.

Self-motivated, ability to prioritize.

Maintains good attendance and punctuality.
