Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in administering medications, monitoring residents' health, and providing personalized care to enhance their quality of life. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure residents receive safe, respectful, and effective medication management while supporting their overall well-being. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following state healthcare regulations and facility protocols Monitor residents' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to medication treatments Assist with resident personal care needs including hygiene, mobility, and daily activities Maintain detailed medical documentation and update electronic health record (EHR) systems with precision Observe and report any changes in residents' condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff Support residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care needs through compassionate engagement Follow HIPAA guidelines diligently to maintain patient confidentiality at all times Requirements Valid certification as a Medication Aide recognized by the State Board of Nursing or relevant licensing authority Proven experience working with geriatric patients in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or similar platforms Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and tube feeding assistance safely Current CPR and First Aid certifications; BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred Strong communication skills for effective caregiver interactions and resident engagement Compliance with all state healthcare regulations, HIPAA standards, and facility policies Join us in delivering exceptional care that empowers residents to live healthier, happier lives. Pay:
$17.50 - $18.00 per hour
