Position Summary The Medication Practicum Evaluator will provide medication-training support and conduct required medication practicum and competency evaluations for Rhonda Care Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This is a PRN W-2 employee position . The position is on-site and in-person and will be scheduled as needed based on Rhonda Care's training and staffing needs. Required Qualifications The successful candidate must meet the applicable DDD Medication Practicum Evaluator requirements, including: Be a trained and experienced supervisor, nurse, trainer, or person in a similar leadership/training role within the agency . Have experience administering medications to individuals with developmental disabilities. Have completed College of Direct Support (CDS) Medication Training . Have the knowledge and ability to reinforce and expand upon medication-training content. Have strong communication, teaching, and documentation skills. Be able to objectively evaluate DSP competency. RN licensure is not required if the candidate otherwise meets the applicable evaluator qualifications. Responsibilities Conduct medication practicum evaluations for DSPs. Conduct medication competency assessments. Conduct medication administration skills evaluations. Observe DSP performance and determine competency. Provide instruction, coaching, and corrective feedback. Identify areas requiring additional training. Conduct re-evaluations when necessary. Complete and sign required medication-training documentation. Maintain confidentiality of participant and employee information. Communicate competency concerns to Rhonda Care leadership. Follow Rhonda Care policies and applicable NJ DDD requirements. Employment & Compliance Requirements The selected candidate must successfully complete Rhonda Care's applicable hiring and compliance process, including: Employment application and interview Reference verification Background screening Required registry checks OIG/exclusion screening Required drug testing, when applicable Employment eligibility verification Verification of CDS Medication Training Verification of relevant medication and developmental-disability experience Rhonda Care employee orientation Schedule PRN / As Needed The evaluator may be scheduled for: New DSP medication practicums Medication competency evaluations Medication skills evaluations Remediation Re-evaluations Medication-related staff training This position requires availability to conduct evaluations on-site and in person. Compensation $35-$45 per hour , depending on qualifications and experience. This is a W-2 PRN employee position . Employees are paid through Rhonda Care's payroll for actual hours worked.
