SUMMARY We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as the Behavior Intervention Team Lead at Filer Middle School. This full-time position is designed for a passionate professional who will oversee and implement behavior intervention strategies, support students with behavioral challenges, and work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community to create a positive school environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of behavioral management techniques, and a commitment to fostering student success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the Behavior Intervention Team in developing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans for students with diverse needs. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrative staff to assess student behavior and provide guidance on effective intervention strategies. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior interventions and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes. Facilitate training and professional development for staff on behavior management techniques and best practices. Conduct regular meetings with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and strategies for support at home. Maintain accurate records of interventions, student progress, and team meetings to ensure compliance with school and district policies. Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and support, providing immediate assistance as needed. Foster a positive school climate by promoting social-emotional learning and proactive behavior support initiatives. Collaborate with external agencies and community resources to provide comprehensive support for students and families. Stay current with research and trends in behavior intervention and related fields to continuously improve practices.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with students in an educational or behavioral support setting. Strong knowledge of behavior management strategies, positive behavior interventions, and social-emotional learning principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and families. Proven leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with data collection and analysis related to student behavior and intervention outcomes. Certification in behavior analysis or a related field is a plus. A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in educational practices. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
